Our Work

Our Work

1.6 million items, turned into data the world can buy.

DUB STORE RECORDS handles more than 1.6 million items, mainly records and CDs, and sells them to over 100 countries. The Product Department checks every item that arrives and creates the product information used to sell it online.

Product data is what a customer decides on before buying. Accurate product information is what earns the trust of customers around the world.

03

Grading condition

Why This Job

Why you will like it here

01

You build the pages the world sees

An item you enter can be live on the store the same day and on sale to customers in the United States, Europe and Asia. This is not simply data entry. It is the work that connects an item to a customer somewhere in the world.

02

Different music every day

Japanese music, rock, jazz, soul, reggae, hip hop, classical and more pass through the department. You will handle famous releases and records you have never heard of, every single day.

03

You can start without music knowledge

No specialist record knowledge is needed on day one. You learn how to check the information and how to use the system one step at a time, with the item in front of you. The knowledge comes naturally as you go.

04

Accuracy is what counts

This is not a job that rewards speed alone. Checking each item properly and registering accurate information is what matters. It suits people who like doing things carefully.

Work Style

A workplace that fits your life

Very little overtime

~4 min/day

The average daily overtime in the Product Department. Unless there is something special on, staff finish on time. It is easy to balance work and private life.

Desk work and hands-on work

Both, every day

You will not be staring at a screen all day. You check the physical item as you enter it, so the job is part desk work and part handling records.

Start with no experience

Trained on the job

How to use the system, how to read product information, how to grade condition — you learn all of it after you join, and there is always a colleague to ask.

Career

Start part-time, or start full-time.

Either way, there is a career ahead of you.

Many of our staff started part-time at DUB STORE RECORDS and widened the scope of their work as they gained experience.

Alongside part-time hiring, we are now putting real effort into full-time hiring for people who want to become the core of the team.

An example career path

  1. Staff
  2. Senior staff
  3. Team leader
  4. Supervisor / Section manager
  5. Product Department manager

The contract you start on does not decide your future. As accurate work, a drive to grow, a habit of improving things and the mentoring of newer staff widen what you can take on, the opportunities to step up follow.

If you join as a full-time employee

You will start with product data entry and the core work of the department. From there, depending on your ability and aptitude, we expect you to move on to more responsible work.

  • Training new staff
  • Owning a product category
  • Process improvement
  • Productivity management
  • Quality management
  • Running a team

If you are thinking "I want to lead a team one day", "I want to widen what I do" or "I want to grow with the company", we would like to hear from you.

A message to the Product Department

"Product data is the business."

However many records and CDs we hold, we cannot sell a single one to a customer abroad without correct product information.

Check the item, create accurate information, send it out to the world over the internet. The Product Department is where our e-commerce business begins.

As the company grows, the number of items grows with it, and this department matters more, not less. I want it to be a place where people who enjoy steady work and people who want to lead can both grow.

Let us get these records to music fans around the world, together.
